Is an independent publishing house devoted to contemporary literature, poetry, and experimental writing. Guided by a writer-driven ethos, Eksil works through dialogue, trust, and long-term collaboration, allowing each author’s voice to evolve with artistic freedom.
The publisher embraces a non-anthropocentric approach to literature, exploring the interconnections between humans, nature, and the more-than-human world. Each publication is conceived as a literary art object, where paper, typography, and design become part of the text’s expressive ecology.
Eksil’s authors include Vónbjørt Vang, Sissal Kampmann, Beinir Bergsson, Lív Maria Róadóttir Jæger, Guðrið Poulsen, and Anna Malan Jógvansdóttir—writers who together have won the
